Secretary to the Society

The Post of Secretary to the Society has been filled by Graham Turvey who has already taken up his duties.

The Board is delighted to have recruited Graham, and feels the decision to wait for someone with a high level of experience and skill has been validated.

Graham, who was an active member of the “Wave” group which supported the production of The BE.S.T. 2008/9 Business Plan has recently retired from his post of Parliamentary Business Manager at the Office of Government Commerce. He is a keen Liverpool Supporter (we couldn’t get everything right), and a serving JP on the Bedford bench.

Graham was involved in the original group which reformed BTFC, resigning when advice to form a Limited Company was declined by the then club committee. He will be responsible for all legal and secretarial oversight of the Society, a role in which he will be supported by Steve Fish as Membership Secretary.

One of the first tasks for the Secretariat is to commission a new web based member management system “In Touch”.
