Community

The essence of a community club is what it gives, in order to receive.
Aston Villa have allocated their shirtback sponsorship space to a childrens charity, resulting in donations worth millions to disadvantaged kids.

Arsenal have won funding from the Education Services to employ language teachers for disadvantaged Spanish kids living in the area, and Spanish players from the first team squad give time and coaching sessions to help.

Cambridge City have actively recruited the support of schools and a local teacher in their many off field youth projects.

The Supporters Direct website news from local, Trust run, or Trust involved clubs will show you a wealth of ideas and examples of how a club can become valued by the community which supports it – and the rewards those clubs receive. These relationships take years to develop, but the outcome is a community that takes the club closer to its heart

Despite the fact The B.E.S.T. is currently barred from the club,  and thus doesn’t have a resource to share – we will never the less develop this argument in favour of a different future in which all of us, and our club can all play a full part.
