Terry Pavey

Terry is currently the Chair of The B.E.S.T.

His recognition of the massive pool of the skills; labour; and financial resources among fans and their networks was awakened during time as Chief Executive of the Exeter City Supporters Trust. The ECFT Trust took over that club in 2003 when it collapsed, £4.5M in debt after relegation to the Football Conference. Valuable experience was gained as one of the three Trust members who with fans support, managed the club in that year.

A continued alliance with Supporters Direct, and contacts with Supporters Trusts at other clubs continue to reinforce his belief in the concept of “Community Clubs”, and sharpens an awareness of the potential shortcomings of sole private ownership or ultimate control in a single pair of hands.
