Trust board
There are currently six Members (5 elected and 1 co-optee) serving on the “BoS” and we would like to see this number move to seven as soon as possible in 2009
At the moment we meet every 4 to 6 weeks depending on workload.
Peoples private lives mean that our inputs are variable, and so you should not assume being a Board member is going to take over your life – but it provides an interesting balance.
It will help if you are able to use email, because a lot of discussion and decisions do take place without us physically have to leave home and go to meetings –it also means things don’t have to wait for a meeting before a decision is made.
If you’ve been to one of our general meetings you’ll know who we are and how we work.
The only other thing we ask is that you accept the principle that we are working toward a long term objective, which sees The Bedford Town Football Club return to its roots as a Community Club – and that this means seeking a wider, more democratic model of ownership and governance at an appropriate time.
If you feel you would like to discuss becoming a member of the Board of Society, or undertaking any of the officer roles, do ring the Chairman Terry Pavey or the Secretary Graham Turvey. (see “Contact Us” page for detail.
