Business plan

The Business Plan is derived from a participative exercise called “The Wave” involving 15 ordinary members of The B.E.S.T. and Board Member during May and June 2008.

The reader is taken through the history of the complete reorganisation of the Trust in 2008.
The new direction for the organisation is set out, seeking to formally involve the Trust and the wider community in the ownership and governance of the Bedford Town Football Club “at an appropriate time and at a meaningful level”.

The obstacles to reaching that long term goal and the current strengths and weaknesses of our Trust are set out, as are the opportunities we must make and take to achieve our goal.

These observations form the basis of the Business Plan July 2008/9, the various elements of which are set out for your consideration.

Your Board is guided by this plan in making priorities for the day to day work of itself and members. Progress is set out in tabular form and updated on a regular basis. This latter information is not published here, but information on each separate element is available by contacting the Chair, Terry Pavey, and will be made available at open meetings of the B.E.S.T.
